In addition to the external presentation of annual figures and new plans, companies need to involve their employees in the strategic direction their organization is going to take, in order to create awareness and support for this. Nederlandsch Octrooibureau (NLO) approached NewsLab to develop a proposal for its communication at the eve of its New Year's reception with a flashback to 2021 and looking ahead to 2022.
Due to corona restrictions, NLO decided to set up an internal live stream. NewsLab helped to create a program for the event, including presentation and interactive elements. Interaction is crucial for a successful livestream, as viewers really get involved and can play an active role. Moreover, a livestream with business content is much more fun to follow than a traditional New Year reception. NewsLab developed several polls, a Q&A and a quiz about NLO, and the winners could win fun prizes. We also supported table guests on location, took care of the coordination with moderator Rens de Jong and stayed in tune with technicians prior to and during the livestream. The result was a successful livestream with almost 100 percent attendance and lots of positive feedback.
