Research indicates that 44 per cent of the Dutch females miss their favourite products when they are on holiday. Therefore Kruidvatopened a pop-up store in the Summer of 2018 at the Costa Brava in Spain, in the popular seaside resort Palamós. The opening of this very Dutch store was celebrated in a typical Dutch atmosphere. Entertainers Dries and DaveRoelvinktravelled to Spain to open the store and to help customers as cashiers during the first half hour after the opening ceremony. NewsLabwas responsible for the production of this event and all PR activities. We invited Dutch press to come to Spain, launched a Facebook livestream and informed Dutch tourists in Palamósabout the pop-up store. 45 minutes before the opening ceremony, there were long rows of Dutch customers who couldn’t wait to buy their familiar Kruidvatproducts from father and son Roelvink. The event represented a media value of 435K, 397 publications, 144K views on Facebook and a total outreach of 1.6 million.
