Dutch Grand Prix
Watching Max Verstappen during a Grand Prix in the Netherlands? It is the ultimate dream of numerous Dutch race fans… To make this dream come true, Rob van Gameren, side-kick of the Dutch tv-program program Formula One Café, launched an online petition. NewsLabsupported this initiative through a targeted PR approach in order to collect as much as signatures as possible. We connected Rob to numerous media, such as Radio stations 538, Radio 2, BNR, newspaper AD and television shows Hart van Nederland and talk show Laatop 1. Rob’s petition was supported on social media by well-known Formula 1 drivers, top athletes and influencers. The petition was embraced throughout the country: 170,760 people signed it online. With 11 million social impressions, 275K online visitors and a PR value of 230K, the campaign was a huge success. Afterwards, it was announced that the F1 comes to the race circuit of Zandvoortas from 2020.
